With all four main economy hotels in the center of Moscow now torn down, there are almost no Western-standard rooms in the city center for less than $300/night. The large economy hotels that were previously relegated to history include the Intourist, Moskva (Moscow), and the Minsk. The largest of the all - and the largest hotel in Europe at nearly 3000 rooms - the Hotel Rossiya (Hotel Russia) was then demolished a year ago. For those not on a tight budget, there are plenty of options to choose from. We will include below links and prices from many of Moscow's four- and five-star hotels. Prices are normal rates - not for peak seasons or periods - and are taken directly from each hotel's main website. Prices do NOT include the mandatory taxes and fees that start at about 20% per room per night. The price range starts at the cheapest room in the hotel. FYI - the lowest cost Western-standard room for only one person available in or near the center is at the Holiday Inn at $360/night. They range from $360-$775/night and it is about 50% higher if you wanted to have three people share a double. All prices are quoted in U.S. dollars. Moscow Marriott Tverskaya Hotel: $580 - $1000+ Single Standard Room: $450 Standard Room (rack rate): $536 (Depending upon your flexibility, you may be able to get rates for a standard room for under $500 per night. As with all these hotels, check the Sheraton website to see if you can find lower rates.) Deluxe Standard Room, King Bed, City or Inner View: $475 |
