I've lived in Moscow since 1996, and my wife Natasha and I have a beautiful little princess, Angelika. Whether you're coming to Moscow for business or pleasure, staying in a Moscow Rick apartment is an affordable and simple alternative to a hotel. Experienced travelers know that Moscow is one of the most expensive cities in the world -- and they're right, but only if you don't do your homework. Western hotels can offer quality service, reliability, and some English-speaking staff, but they typically charge between $300 (cheapest room at the Holiday Inn here) - $2000 per night (the Marriott Grand starts at $700/night) for a standard room. If you try to stay in a Russian-standard hotel, you may pay less, but you'll get few amenities, few or no English speakers on staff and frequently unreliable (if any) service. To top it off, you may not be allowed to have guests in your room without first being subject to humiliating bribes and hassles.
